Day 01: Colombo – Dambulla
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo and proceed on a scenic drive to Dambulla. Travel time Approx 3 – 4 hrs. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax after the journey. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Dambulla City Tour
One of Sri Lanka’s oldest cities, Dambulla is famous for its striking pink quartz mountains, the largest of their kind in South Asia, and the rare Ferro Forest. It also boasts important archaeological discoveries, including the prehistoric Ibbankatuwa burial site and ancient temple complexes in the Dambulla caves.
Day 3: Dambulla – Kandy
Surrounded by hills, Kandy served as the final royal capital of ancient Sri Lanka. Although it is the country’s second-largest city, Kandy is renowned for its scenic beauty and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While travelling to Kandy, stop at the renowned Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of Sri Lanka’s key tourist attractions.
Day 4: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
Have coffee and proceed to Nuwara Eliya, known as the “City of Light.” Set amidst hills and tea plantations, the town is renowned for its cool climate and scenic landscapes of valleys, meadows, and mountains. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Nuwara Eliya
Enjoy a leisurely walk through Nuwara Eliya, covering its key highlights. Visit an operational tea factory to learn about the production of premium Orange Pekoe tea grown in this highland region. Continue to Seetha Eliya, a temple linked to the Ramayana, and Hakgala Botanical Gardens, known for their temperate climate flora and scenic beauty. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Yala
After a morning coffee, drive to Yala and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, proceed to Yala National Park for an exciting safari experience. Here, you may spot macaques, wild turkeys, elephants, and leopards in their natural habitat. Yala, also known as Ruhunu National Park, is famous for its diverse wildlife and dramatic landscapes of dry forests and grasslands. Return to the hotel after the safari. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Yala - Galle
After breakfast, drive to Galle and check in at the hotel on arrival. Later, explore the city on foot, visiting the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest preserved forts in Asia. Inside the fort, visit the Dutch Museum, showcasing artifacts, photographs, and furniture from the colonial period. The fort’s location on a small peninsula makes it an ideal spot to enjoy scenic sunset views. Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Galle - Bentota
After breakfast, proceed to Bentota, famous for its golden beaches. The day is free to relax by the sea, enjoy swimming and sunbathing, or explore optional water sports available along the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Bentota
While exploring the city, enjoy a scenic boat safari on the Madu River, passing through mangroves and natural waterways. Later, visit the Turtle Hatchery, founded in 1981 by the Wildlife Protection Society, where you can see newborn turtle hatchlings being cared for before their release into the ocean. After the tour, return safely to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Bentota - Colombo
After breakfast, drive to Colombo, a commercial capital & largest city of Sri Lanka. On arrival, proceed for a city tour visiting key attractions including Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, the National Museum, the World Trade Center, the old Parliament Building, Fort area, and Independence Square, along with important religious sites of different faiths. Entry fee not included.
Day 11: Departure
Depart for Colombo International Airport for your onward journey.
